dvgrab software package provides grab digital video data via IEEE1394 and USB links, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dvgrab
dvgrab is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dvgrab package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dvgrab *
You will get with dvgrab package name, version, architecture and description in a table
